The Basin Cricket Club commits to the following steps as part of our Season Plan to: SUPPORT OLDER TEENAGERS TO TRANSITION TO SENIOR SPORT SAFELY

1. Club members will be encouraged to watch this short 5 minute gambling education video which discusses leadership within a club. This could be screened at the club or shared via the club’s communication channels such as a club newsletter or team email.
2. We will instigate where possible as many of the following initiatives to aid in the transition of juniors to the senior club:

        a. Have training nights where juniors can join the senior session

        b. Have the senior club coach provide support to the junior coaches and take sessions with the junior players 

        c. Hold a parent information session with the parents of the top age side to give them information about the senior club and provide the opportunity for questions

        d. Appoint a Junior Club Liaison Officer and offer a Senior Club representative to sit on the junior club committee

        e. Implement a player welfare program to ensure the players feel welcome at the club once they arrive

This year we have a huge social schedule lined up.

We have Al’s Music Trivia night on 26th October. Tickets can be purchased here.

We have our Western night on the 4th November, Bears’s picnic later in the month.

We have our new event Basin Lawn Games on 18th January, followed by Ladies Day, Cinema Under the Stars and major raffle.
