The Basin Cricket Club is situated at the foot of the Dandenongs. The club has a proud history of success and was one of first clubs in the FTGDCA.
The club started out in 1966 and since, has established itself as a household name among the local community. All clubs need a founding member and for us, it was Jack Wallace. Jack Wallace and a few mates started the first team and a proud tradition started.
Over many years, new members to the community would spend their Saturday’s playing for the club and spend many hours following matches enjoying company of mates.
What we stand for
As a club, we believe that everyone should have the chance to play and be felt welcome. The club has over many years seen new members to the club become president’s, treasurers and loyal club people.
The future of the club
As a club, we are in for a very exciting future. We have two grounds situated right next to each other that is the envy of most clubs. We have outstanding facilities which are only going to be improved in the near future and thanks to a generous donation, the club will have state of the art training nets and facilities
Values
In order to continue to develop as a club, we need to ensure we have the correct values in place. The clubs core values are:
- Human
- Ownership
- Champion
- Challenge
- Invest
The Basin Cricket Club inspires to be a club where all individuals feel and are treated like the best human they can be, who rise up to and accept challenges, are willing to take ownership for what they say and do, who display champion behaviours on and off field that make a difference to all members and where investment in people to be the best they can be is our number one priority.
